Nile International Hospital (Jinja) partnered with Nile Breweries Limited to deliver critical medical and first aid training during the company’s annual Safety & Health Week 2025.
The initiative aimed to empower employees with lifesaving skills plus reinforce workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
Nile International Hospital visited the Nile Breweries plant on Friday, 02nd April 2025, and provided General Medical Services to over 60 staff members across departments. It also enhanced safety by offering first aid training, which was facilitated by Dr. Kato David , who helped provide alignment with Nile Breweries’ ‘Zero Harm’ safety culture.
Key activities focused on CPR, wound management, burns, electrocution, choking response, and industrial accident protocols.
Nile Breweries Limited, through its Medical Department led by Dr. Geoffrey Kerito, was appreciative of the engagement and felt confident this would enable employees to assist a colleague in distress, and thanked Nile International Hospital’s commitment to community health beyond its clinical settings.
Nile International Hospital’s corporate commitment to health was reiterated by our head of Business Development & PRO, Mr. Michael Musinguzi, who emphasized routine medical checkups and first aid training being non-negotiable as it’s a first line of defense. Helping UBL Employees leave with confidence that they can save lives—proving that safety is everyone’s business.
